For the past few years, if you've wanted to gang together two NVIDIA cards in an SLI configuration, you've been restricted to using an Intel CPU. But that's soon going to change. NVIDIA has announced that it is licensing its SLI technology to motherboard makers for use with AMD CPUs, so that AMD's upcoming, performance-oriented Bulldozer chip can be used with a pair of NVIDIA GPUs.

When I first received Razer's long-awaited Onza controller for the Xbox 360 earlier this month, I was taken with the design; praising its unique approach to d-pad design, digital button remapping, and its responsive action buttons. While my original assessment stands – it is an awesome controller – I have since found a few notable, albeit minor, issues. The honeymoon isn't over, but our fiery romance has lost some of its luster.
But first, a quick recap for those just joining us.
After months of anticipation, Apple's iOS 4.2 update for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch has arrived. Downloadable immediately, the update brings new functionality to all of the company's iDevices, including media streaming via AirPlay, expanded device tracking with Find My iPhone, wireless printing via AirPrint, and more. While each device gains a number of improvements with iOS 4.2, the iPad benefits the most with some long awaited features.
With iOS 4.2, the iPad finally gains multitasking support, which allows users to run multiple apps at once, swapping between them seamlessly. Moreover, the iPad will now feature folder support, providing improved app organization and a cleaner, easier to navigate interface. Users will also be able to rent TV episodes directly from their iPad via iTunes, and now, for the first time, use Apple's Xbox Live-like service Game Center on their iPad.

In order to distribute your Windows Phone 7 app, you need to deal with App Hub, Microsoft’s developer site for Windows Phone 7 and Xbox 360. I got the impression that Microsoft could not care less about developers here. There is no customer service phone number on App Hub. There is a support form on the site, but it is only accessible to the folks who pay the $99 fee. In my experience, the form was useless, because no one ever responded to my queries. If you go to App Hub Support, you’re instructed to use the forum, or call and create an incident and pay for it.

Myspace launches Mashup with Facebook feature, still won't admit defeat
How was that old saying... If you can't beat them... ah yes, join them. That's the apparent motto of Myspace now as the social network has joined hands with arch-enemy Facebook and introduced the Mashup feature to 'borrow' content from the latter.
With Mashup with Facebook, Myspace users can port the 'likes' and 'interests' in their Facebook page so as to have their stream updated with entertainment content hosted by MySpace. This is supposed to deliver more relevant content to Myspace members, while also helping them connect to users with similar tastes in music, movies and such.

The long wait for the latest iteration of Apple's iOS continues after the Mac maker today released yet another ''final'' build to developers.
AppleInsider reports that the new build, labelled iOS 4.2.1, was made available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The release marks the third ''Golden Master'' build release this month - the first was released for all three iDevices on November 1, while a second build specifically for the iPad was released last week to fix a bug relating to WiFi connections.

There is no worse feeling than the insecure-ish feeling of your mobile phone slipping off your hand. Atleast I feel this, and so do hundreds others. So, when I got the Nokia N8 for the first time in my hands, I almost dropped it when I tried pressing the phone’s menu key at the bottom. The menu key could have been placed at a better location than at the bottom. Well, there would not have been any problem, had the base (on which the menu key is placed) of the phone been not tilted inside.Although nothing can be done now, we hope Nokia listens and rectifies itself in it’s forthcoming devices

Software Monopolist Microsoft's shiny graphical user interface for PCs that it calls an operating system is 25 years old this month. There are many trivial factoids that have built up over these last 25 years about Windows, and V3 has collected some of them in its article.
We must warn you though to read at your own risk, because we've read it and we thought it should have been entitled "25 things you'll soon wish you didn't know about Windows".

Microsoft's Process Explorer is back with even more PC troubleshooting tools
I can't imagine troubleshooting a Windows PC without Process Explorer. Users frequently compare Process Explorer to Windows' built-in Task Manager, but I tend to think of Process Explorer as what Task Manager should've been. There's so much more to Process Explorer that it's hard to put the two in the same sentence.
Process Explorer tells you which files are currently open by what program. That feature alone has saved me half a head of hair because, once identified by Process Explorer, the process that's locked up your file can be killed.
Process Explorer also gives you full information on all of the svchost processes running on your PC. That accounts for the other half a head.

Whoah. Onstage at Web 2.0 Summit, Twitter founder Evan Williams revealed, when asked by interviewer John Battelle “How do you pick ‘Who to Follow’?,” that Twitter has a private reputation score for every user.
According to Williams, Twitter’s “science and math people” have systems which gauge who you follow and who the people you follow follow and try to find relevance in the overlap. He didn’t make it clear how the reputation score was measured.
